International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing
What is Interactive Design

Aim and Scope

The International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing (IJIDeM) covers interdisciplinary research, technical issues and/or original industrial implementations related to the development, handling and designing of high-realistic multi-sensorial virtual prototypes for improving decision-making in product design and manufacturing.

IJIDeM will cover cutting-edge research in the fields of Mechatronics, Design and Manufacturing sciences, Numerical and Mechanical engineering, Virtual Reality aimed at industrial innovation.

IJIDeM details also basic principles leading interactive design and manufacturing techniques, by defining the concept of interaction and component behaviour.

IJIDeM is the mirror of recent success in Mechatronics, Design and Manufacturing sciences, Numerical and Mechanical engineering, Virtual Reality all being applied to the creation of the simulation of cognitive, sensorial and physical interactions, mainly used for supporting industrial innovation. IJIDeM is also the only instruments highlighting at an international level the mixing of studies, the success of transversal works and the accomplishment of research having succeeded in strong industrial problem solving.
